The Legacy of Wolfe Tone Documentary

The next piece I have is a documentary on the life of Theobald Wolfe Tone - the founder of Irish Republicanism. Wolfe Tone was a Protestant son of a small farmer from Sallins in County Kildare. He grew up in Dublin and founded the United Irishmen - who's goal was the establishment of an Irish Republic were everybody would be treated equally - regardless of race or religion. Wolfe Tone led the failed 1798 Rebellion which resulted in him being captured before dying in suspicious circumstances in Provost's Prison in Dublin.

This documentary was created by The Republican Movement in the mid-80's and shows how Wolfe Tones legacy and his dreams have continued to inspire committed revolutionaries. The film includes some rare footage of the IRA parading at Bodenstown (Wolfe Tones resting place) and also interviews with Republican leaders.
